Cedar leaf oil contains a high concentration of thujone, the "mystic" ingredient of absinth, a French liquor banned in the early 1900's. Absinth is found, since less than a decade, in many liquor stores in Ontario, Quebec and elsewhere in Canada.

Before I know the product is available in 2003 or so, I read about absynth history, learned about thujone, its effect and toxicity. Then I found on internet that cedar leaf oil have high concentration of thujone.

I read about a deworming cure for horses and estimated that a drip put between the nose and the lip should do the job. Party at the camp! It does have long lasting slight effect and an enjoying smell. When we did that, early morning after we were up and felt clear in the longs, no coughs. Unusual for late partying smokers.

One night soaked with Tequila, we've dripped cedar leaf essential oil on the walls so it smells good in the camp. The morning after, there was a dozen of fruit flyies dead on the table and on the counter.

A 10 -100 ppm thujone juice could be intersting to try. Only if I prepare the juice my-self though.
