Uncle's post got me wondering...
I know my taste buds are pretty shot from my smoking habit, as I spice the heck out of my food. One thing that is a bit of a bummer for me is that I barely taste my new flavors, even though Annette did the extra flavor for me.

I'm guessing my taste buds will come back eventually - but for others that have gone through this, about how long before I can really taste my liquids again? Can I "cheat" and still smoke real cigs - or do I need to get away altogether to start tasting again (and yes, I realize smell is also involved - my nose stinks right now - lol).

And for Annette, can we request extra-extra flavor if we really aren't tasting right yet?

See now I think that is so strange ;) I can taste everything else, especially sweet things & as for spicy food (my fav) No Problem at all :D

Yet any " Nic-juice" - Nope - Nada - Not Happening . . . :(

Like I said only sweet aftertaste & the Menthol Crystals . . .

AND - I hate to say this i am still stuck smoking analogs too . . .

So

That could be why you're still having such a hard time tasting flavors, Uncle. Until you completely quite the analogues, they will keep muting your sense of taste and smell. For me it took about a week after I completely quit the analogues for my senses to totally come back to life but if I'm ever naughty and have an occasional cig, I really notice the difference again!

Actually that was the point of my post - my sense of taste & smell is NOT deminished at all. I can taste & smell everything, except the "Nic-juice" flavors. When vaping there is no flavor - only a sweet after taste or straight menthol crystals. No capichino No Coffee No Blueberry Muffin No Rootbeer No caramel No Tobaccos etc

I don't know how much clearer I can state that .

Again I can taste food - I can smell odors/scents - Not "Nic-Juice"

It's different with the juices for some reason. I had no problem with food or smells either but it took awhile for me to be able to taste the flavors in the juice. Maybe some receptors on the tongue are for vaping only? LOL. But flavor also depends to some degree on what equipment you are vaping with. Either too hot or too weak of voltage will change the flavor produced. What are you using?

The main equipment I have and am using right now is the Smokeless Image "Volt" - which I really like for the ease and the new KR808 dual cartomizers; and the eGo T - which I am still learning to use to try Juice and has been a little difficult because the Juice keeps leaking out of the Cart when I put it down.

I have also a number of other pieces of equipment - FS eGo, Carts, Large Cartomizers, a couple of Drip tips - that I still "learning" how to use. I'm embarrassed  to say, that although I watched a lot of Videos and read as many post, I really wish I had someone show me in person how to use some of this "stuff."

You should be set then, but I have to say the ego-T's do diminish the flavors of the juice somewhat. And they leak at times. Make sure you are lining up the indents on the sides of the tank with the air vents inside the atomizer, you should hear an audible "pop" when you press the tank on the atty. You may want to try a pack of Boge 2.0 cartomizers next time you are shopping. They seem to bring out the flavors in a juice more than the others I've tried, and the list is long...lol. Hang in there, there is always a small level of frustration when you start out vaping. It goes away.

I would like to respond to a post about tasting flavors. In my situation it is all about the taste buds LOL. When it first happened about a month into vaping. I thought it was the e-liquid. I read a really helpful post about this and just gritted my teeth and beared with it. I don't if taste buds ever get completely right LOL I have been vaping now for about nine months and my taste buds still get wacky every once in awhile. I know one thing that helps is brushing my tongue several times a day and frinking plenty of water. That being said I kinda would like to see some DIY supplies on you site as well as maybe a toffee type flavor Maybe a nutty toffee flavor.

WOW - Someone else who cleans their "tongue." I have even gone so far (like when I used to drink alcohol), as when your are tasting and/or trying a wine for the first time, I clean my mouth out with a swish of water, then eating a plain simple cracker, and rinse with water again . . . so that there is absolutely nothing to interfer with what I am tasting when I am "vaping" a new "Nic-Juice". I know  it maybe a lot to do and not necessary - but I am really trying to give it a go and make sure what I am tasting is what I am tasting.

Annette,
How about if you offered pre-mixed flavoring. By offering your flavors without the nic and PG/VG, people could adjust to their personal flavor level and still have the awesome blends. It might be easier to send a 5ml of Organic Cherry Vanilla Swirl flavoring than a 30ml of nicquid. Also people would be able to vape your flavors at 40/60 or 70/30. They could even do 2 mg nic or 36 mg nic.

I don't know of any vendor that does it.

Great idea, I would consider just buying the mixed flavor and doing the rest DIY. Another vendor that does this is just selling the organic flavoring, so customers can add more flavor, but not the original flavor mixture recipe. We might have to get used to doing it this way anyhow if that darn legislation gets passed.

That's what I was thinking too, Joanr. Start offering it now before the legislation... So the other vendor who offers this doesn't offer mixes (for example Butter Cream Mint) and only offers just straight mint, is that correct?

Yes, he just sells smaller bottles of the NF flavors, 5 ml so peeps can add in more flavor if they want it. He doesn't take special requests for extra flavor like you will. The flavors are just straight up, no mixes.

Oh I hope I don't have to start mixing my own juices....I would be in a lot of trouble:)

It's not that hard. There are several ejuice calculators out there including a software program called ejuicemeup. All you need is unflavored nic juice and PG & VG and then add Annette's flavoring. Nothing to it.
