I have been wondering if anyone has tried to use a cell phone charger for their e-cig battery.
I had some trouble with a charger, so I found one of my old Motorola cell phone chargers.... 3.7 volt.
I fabricated a plug and attached the battery and got the battery led to turn on while it is connected.
I have been afraid to leave it for long, just in case.... But I wondered if these cell chargers, or the battery has a protection circuit so that I don't damage the battery if I leave it longer.
Does anyone know if this should be okay to use?

I don't wish to disturb your journey to find your own solutions. However, you might consider my experience with charging.

Whatever I use to charge, it needs to do more than one ecig at a time. This is my setup, though I usually don't need all of it:

1) 5 USB chargers.
2) Kensington 4-port USB wall charger for 4 chargers.
3) Kensington car-cig-lighter to USB adapter for one charger.

The single wall adapter for four USB chargers is a really clean setup.

I hardly ever use the car charger. I'm kind of a home body--not near the traveling adventurer I thought I was :)

This probably seems expensive. I didn't buy everything right away. It's just that in the end you may be sorry buying or trying to use simple wall chargers.

HTH,
Dave

Thanks for the input WDAVE. I guess I am learning the hard way.... I just ordered a USB charger, I have a wall USB xformer for another device that should work.... they are all 5V.
I will take your advice (I really like your idea of charging 4 or 5 on ea. device... good choice).
thanks again, I guess this is going to be a learning experience.
