Cellphone charger

So I have an upcoming trip this weekend and want to take my e-cig. I only have the usb charger for the ego and I really don't want to lug my laptop with me just so I can charge my ecig. My cellphone charger (palm pre) has a usb plug. Can I use my cell phone wall plug with the ego cord? Are there some numbers I should look for on the plug? I took a glance at it and it mentioned amps and volts, its all kind of gibberish to me. Any help would be great!
