I just received the target tank with the ceramic coil. And the first hit was at 20 watts and I got a bad burnt hit after priming the coil and letting it sit for a half hour. I don't understand. Can anyone help. P.s . and yes it was the .9ohm kanthal coil

I'm guessing that the wick is a cylindrical piece of ceramic, and the wire is a chimney build? If you prime ceramic from the inside then put juice in the tank and let it sit, logically air could be trapped in the ceramic piece, if you got air in there, it'll probably mess up the capillary action of the wicking.
i'd have thought it's hard to ruin ceramic wick...compared to say any other wick apart from SS mesh! So no.
But i think it's not wicking fast enough for your coil, so turn your power down and try again perhaps.

Maybe clear up the column of air? If you had a vacuum chamber that'll probably work. Or just dip the thing in alcohol and wash off the juice. Juice don't dry.
Did you prime the coil beforehand? If you did lower you power or temp and work your way up slowly....
