Ceramic wick uneven colors

It looks burnt... I thought ceramic doesn't burn

Using z Atty pro 2.1

I had to recoil 3 times to get it right with no hot spots

Thanks I already scratched the cap :banghead:

The stupid o ring on it is not great... It fell behind a rack and scratched its way down to tile... I'm looking for a replacement cap but its so new they don't sell the z Atty 2.1 cap
