Hey everyone. New to ecf but I've been vaping for about 8 months and I've recently gotton into rba's and love it. I thought it might fix some of the issues I've had. Most recently with the alien dna flavor from timeless vapor. I utterly love the lime flavor in it. It would be my favorite vape if I could just get it to work in a tank. I've tried it in my carto tanks and it flows into the carto well, but after 20 minutes of casual vaping it's as if it clogged up and just burns. Tried again with silica wick in a vivi nova i rebuilt...same results. Tried it again on an rba dripping and mega flavor.....same results after some casual vaping. It's not a dark juice at all but turns my wick into that caramel brown color extremely fast and the flavor is just muted the longer i try to use it. Is this from the flavoring actually carmelizing and impeding juice flow? I've had this happen with a couple of flavor in the past and Im trying to find a way around it. The next try will be with an ss wick.

I'm thinking the sweetner might be what's giving you trouble. Just because it is clear doesn't always mean that it won't gunk up your device. What to use? I can't say. I only use Nova's. Hopefully someone may be able to help you soon. :)

Bingo.

I used sweetener in my DIY mix and was going through a head every week to two on my mini nova. Even washing it out every other tank and dry burning wasn't getting rid of the gunked up symptoms. When I dropped all sweetener, that changed to one head a month bare minimum. In fact, I think I'm going on two or three months with the head I'm currently using... truthfully I've lost count! :D

I've never added sweetener to DIY. What about the the dark juices? Read dark juices gunk them up too. How do you know when a vender adds sweetener? They really should list the ingredients or do they tell you if you ask?

Dark juices do have more of a tendency to gunk them up also. Some juices vape cleaner than others. So many different factors come into play. Sweetner, oils (like was mentioned by OP) even how well extractions were filtered. Really the only thing you can do is trial and error or if your interested in a certain flavor or vendor, ask either here or on the vendor thread. Someone has probably used that juice.
