Well I'm about six weeks (give or take a week or so) into vaping and man is it feeling great! I was one of those lucky ones who didn't crave an analog at all as soon as I started vaping, I did smoke one occasionally until I got my battery and charger. Started with just the usb PT mini kit to make sure it was for me.

For those that don't know, I live with a smoker, my boyfriend, so it has been totally amazing that I haven't wanted to smoke at all. What I am finding now is that I don't have pressing cravings for vaping like I did for analogs. I used to wake up in the morning and HAVE to get that first cig in me. Now it's no problem to walk the puppy and wait until I sit down and relax to vape. I find I'm vaping because I enjoy it more than because I crave it.

The best news, my boyfriend is wanting to give vaping a good try!! So far he has just sampled it and hasn't felt it helped his cravings. With no bugging from me he has decided that on Monday when he is out of analogs he will be trying to vape instead! Cross your fingers for him with me!

That would be really great, Taryn, I hope he makes the switch.
I've not been around a smoker since I started doing this, I've only smelled a cig in a parking lot from far away. I don't know if I would have been as good as you have been.

I've stopped craving a cig after meals, used to I would jump up and go have one the minute I was finished eating.

Weird how vaping affects us and our rituals, isn't it?

7 weeks here and not one thought about analogs since. Hubby still smokes...in the house, and it kills me. It smells so bad.
If he just put out an analog and I walk into the room I can't breathe. It's like hitting an oxygenless wall. He says he's gonna start using my old Njoy and I even mixed him up some tobacco flavored juice, but he keeps buying packs of marlboros...
I've got my fingers crossed that both our men will convert soon. :p

Taryn that is great. it is amazing you didnt smoke a real one when he smokes. I dont know if i could do that yet. I still smoke 2 in the am. actually only 1 today with my coffee when i first get up. we all know how that 1st smoke is. But anyway back to you. Great job on converting him. I do wish you and him the best of luck. After 1 day of vaping if he lights up a real one he will then realize how lousy they smell and taste. again good luck to you both.

Taryn you rock... and how you came up with that spin trick is nothing short of genius, I was getting frustrated with the reloading thing, but now my reloaded cartos are like new. I also put down the analogs shortly after starting to vape, I'd smoke one or two a day until my supply ran out and never bought any more. No cigs since 10-20-09. You shouldn't have too much trouble with you BF, once he sees how good vaping is, it's a no brainer. :)

I've noticed the same thing taryn, I don't have the same need for vaping as i did for analogs. I used to be terrified that I would run out of smokes if i was going somewhere. But now I bet I could go the workday without vaping if I absolutely had to. I won't cause I love it so much but I dont feel like it would be the end of the world.

I think that constant need has alot to do with the other horrible addictive chemicals that are in regular cigarettes that the tobacco companies add for just that purpose. Also I think it has alot to do with the fact that I do feel much more free of my old habits now, and needing to constantly smoke was something that was tied mentally to smoking cigarettes and now that I vape that need is no longer there.

With a set pack of 20 it's almost as though the tobacco companies are telling you how much you are supposed to smoke in a day but now I vape when I want and I dont feel the need to fill any sort of quota or anything lol.:)

I do know it is going to be harder on my boyfriend than it has been for me, he is going to have my full support. I do not expect his change to be as natural as mine so I promise I won't be hard on him when he does reach for the analog. I'll probably be the one he sends to the store to get them! I'm going to be happy if he just gives it a true effort.

I'll try to get him to come here but he thinks I'm a nut who spends too much time here as is! Thanks for the kind words and support, YOU guys rock!
