Hey guys n' gals,

I was just curious. I'm going to the store this weekend to buy some spare heads, e-juice, an rba and a VAMO but still have to vape with what i have for a few more days :(. Today or possibly last night, my protank has been giving me a somewhat nasty flavour. After searching the forums I think I may have scorched my wick as it looked pretty dark when i opened it up. Anyways my question is can i take the coil/wick out of my vivi head and use it in my protank? or will it ruin itself when i remove it. I'm about to try it and just wanted a second opinion before i ruined the head that I could just use on my vivi... I will probably still try and mark it up as an experience, successful or not.

The only problem I would see is that the nova head has all 4 wicks wrapped with the kanthol wire, and the pro tank has only 1 wick wrapped with the wire and then 2 other wick placed on top of the coil which are used as flavor wicks. I have attempted it personally, but I am sure if you were able to remove the coil from the nova head intact it will work. You definitely can not just screw the nova head into the protank base. you would have to take remove the old burnt wick from the protank and install the assembled nova head.

hmm. yeah i definitely wasn't just going to screw the nova piece on the protank base. but your saying that the wick would be too large for the protank? yeah i guess it does look that way and since the coil is already prewrapped, removing a few strands probabyl wouldnt work either... i really odn't want to use the old wick because i'm pretty sure it has been singed.. Still vaping it though, it kind of reminds me of the ....tiness of analogs :p.

Take the coil head off the Protank base and run hot water through it. Blow the water out from both ends and see how it looks. If it's still gunked up let it soak overnight in vinegar or some vodka then rinse again. You can try dry burning it, but I don't. After drying if it still tastes burnt recoil/rewick it or throw it away.

I don't think you're going to get good results swapping those coils.
