Hey all.
So I am brand new at vaping. Picked up my Subox Nano just today. It was explained to me that I can change flavors by simply washing out my tank. My question is, is just washing the tank out sufficient? Will what is remaining soaked in the cotton simply clear away after a couple of tokes?
So far I am really happy with my purchase and I realise I have sooo much to learn.
Thanks in advance

You can wash your tank out, I tend to dismantle my tank and wipe it dry with paper towels (unless i'm coming from a menthol flavour then I give it a good wash with hot water. Just make sure you dry the tank thoroughly otherwise it can cause problems. If its a relatively similar flavour swap then the coil should be fine after a few puffs, this is only my way of doing it though and my experience.
Funnily enough I bought a Subox for my brother in law yesterday, good bit of kit :)
Happy vaping!

On a side note, if you do take your tank apart then observe the O rings on the top and bottom of the tank and ensure you put them back on the right way round. Otherwise your tank wont seal up properly and you might get a leak (I talk from experience on this one!!)

Welcome to ECF! Some great folks here. Your coil head will swap over on the flavor profile. Depending on how light/heavy the profile is, it may take a few pulls. I have different tanks for different flavor profiles so the change is a tad more graceful on the tank itself. With rtas/rdas it's easier to change out a wick to get to a neutral spot quicker.

Welcome to ECF!

This is a good question! Personally (I use the Subtank Plus) when I want to completely switch flavors, I wash EVERYTHING except for the coil, under hot hot water (no soap, or alcohol) and with the coil, I take a paper towel and gently pad the holes where the cotton is exposed to get as much flavor out as possible.

With some flavors such as mint, menthol, clove, sour I find that it may take an entire tank to completely rid the flavor.

Alternatively, you may find a happy mistake! as @choochoogranny kindly posted, similar flavors can actually mix well. Sometimes I can go for a month without washing out a tank, yet I change flavors every day. Hope this helps! :)

I do this as well :) It does work!
I also remove the coil from the base and put my fingers over the holes right at the bottom then blow gently through the top it helps to flush out some old juice from inside the coil. You can then just wipe it off with a paper towel :)

I got different tank for different flavours. All my minty stuff stays in 1 tank, my fruity stuff in another tank and my "bakery" stuff in a 3rd tank. I find it is much more easy to keep the same type of juice with the same coil and tank. Makes changing things up better :)

This does seem a much easier way of doing things, I'm curious though. Do you use the same type of tank for each flavour?

Thanks for all your awesome reply's.
After summing it all up I have decided to go with washing my tank out with water and padding the cotton the best I can. I will do this until I buy a second tank and then just swap tanks for Fruity and bakery flavors.
I must say that after only a day and a half of vaping, I cant see myself turning back.

The subtank coils will change flavor after like 2 puffs I've noticed. Unless you had something super gross in there like licorice or something.
Sometimes you'll get a weird mix of two juices. But I've found some of my favorite combinations by accident when it was time to switch flavors lol.

OR, if you've only got the one tank, just switch coils, saving the old one with the old flavor in a small container and put in a new one for the different flavor. Quick rinse of the tank, insert new coil for new flavor and go. Meanwhile the old, still good coil is waiting in its little container for you to use for that flavor again. :)
