I've just got my Nitecore i2 in and charged my fully dead Efest Flat top on it and it's been over 5 hours and it's on the 2/3 bar and has been that way for the passing hours since it got to the first bar. Anybody knw the problem? hopefully i didn't somehow short the battery, or the battery is defected.

When you say "dead" how low was the voltage before you first began to charge it?
IMR (Li-Mn) and IMR/Hybrid batteries must not be discharged below 3 volts or they will be damaged (per Baditude, our resident battery/safety expert -- as of December 2013).
