Charger light flickering nonstop??

Just recently bought an eGo-T ecigarette off of a friend that had already been very lightly used and was fully charged when I bought it, which must mean that the charger worked before I had it.

When the battery ran out, I plugged it in. The light on the joyetech charger is constantly flashing between red and green. It's not an "every couple of seconds" thing, it's "blip blip blip blip", going redgreenredgreenredgreen if that makes any sense.

Is it charging? Is it broken? What can I do?

My charger will do that with my spinner but only does it fast when its nearly charged. Are the threads and contacts clean?

I didn't check, honestly. Probably should grab a cotton swab and clean it quickly before plugging it back in.

And I found mine charges better if it is off and the voltage is turned all the way up. But I just might have my OCD showing.

clean it out and see what happens. I had this happen when my charger was shorting out. some of these ego-t kits come with incredibly cheap wiring and mine definently burned itself out.

I cleaned it out pretty well, it's still doing it. it's been plugged in for about 2 hours, maybe a little more. been doing it the entire time.

Mine does it too, and I bought it brand new and it has always done it when charging. The light on the charger itself is what I go by to know if it is charging or done. The PV itself works just fine otherwise, and the flashing christmas color lights (I call them) look kind of cool when it's charging. lol

I have an ego that does it, and I don't think it's the charger, because it only happens with one of the egos I charge on it. ??? who knows. The charger is old so it may be getting ready to poop out (hope not).
