Charging a halo g6 battery with V2's charger?

Hi all,
Fairly new at all this (as you can tell from my post count) so this may be a stupid question, if so I'm sorry but google has been useless.
I started out with V2's cig-a-likes a little under a month ago and like them but wanted another spare battery so I ordered Halo's g6 as I read their both 808 styles. My question is can I charge the Halo battery with the v2 charger? When I tried the light on the charger lit purple as opposed to the red, with blue blink, when it's charging my v2 battery. Is it doing anything? Am I damaging either the charger or the g6 battery by trying?
