Charging a mega 510 manual

I ordered 2 Mega 510 and I have a USB charger, the charger can be hooked up to a USB port or I can hook up an extrnal power supply. This might be a dumd question but does the switch have to be depressed for the 510 to be charging. It does make sense but want to ask.

I left it on charging all night but the light never turned to blue when it means it's charged.

I have the regular 510 (not the Mega). Are you asking if the manual button on the battery needs to be pressed in while charging?? If so, no- there would be no way for you to sit there for hours while doing this. The USB charger that I have is a PCC (personal charging case). I just put my battery in it, (there should be an indentation inside your case that shows you how to align the battery), shut the lid to it, plug it into my laptop and let it charge. As for the wall charger- you just screw the battery into it and plug it in. The lights on both of those will tell you when they're done charging.

It seems that the blue light on the usb charger never light up to show full charge. I measure the voltage and it say 3.6VDC after a couple of hours. The USB charger is from BLU caritage batteries but I don't think it would make a differences since the out put is 5 VDC

I have mega's and when I put them in a charger the battery blinks for three blinks and the charger lights red. When the battery is charged the charger changes green.. I don't do anything with the button but there is no indicator on the battery the that shows it has charged. By the way, I love using the mega. Last me all day at work.

OK- You're talking about the blue light on your BluCig USB charger, right? That's making a little more sense to me now- I started with the BluCigs a year ago....I was wondering at 1st because my 510 chargers only show red or green lights so I was a little confused.
I would just use only the chargers that your Mega came with. I know the threads for the Blu matches the 510 threads, but not sure if the Blu charger would be powerful enough to fully charge your Mega's. I'm just taking a shot and guessing at that. I did have the BluCigs and the performance was horrible, so I'm guessing that the power sources may be a little "iffy" too??

that's great to know! Did you start with the regualr 510? I'm pretty much a chain vaper and my batts last about and hour and a half to 2 hours

i imagine they're not charging because you're using the Blu charger. get the correct charger for the batteries.

I started with the mega in June. Haven't had an analog since the day I received the kit. I ordered two more kits which gave me a total of six and rotate them every day. I smoked over a pack a day so these get used heavily. And they are still working fine. (They're Joye 510- not Blue)

You really should be using the charger that's intended for the 510 batteries. Even though your battery fits on the Blu charger, you could be damaging the battery because that charger was designed for a different battery.

This is hard for me sinces I'm an electronic tech and I'm in the battery business. Big batteries. Is there anyone that could measure the voltage of an 510 total charged up.

My Megas take 3 hours to charge using the wall charger that came with the kit.

Ok found out the problem. I was trying the BLU usb charger with the 510 mega battery. Well her it is the blu usb charger the thread part is the POS and the middle is the NEG which is the reverved on the 510

In my first 510 mega kit I got this cheap $5.00 usb charger.... All my other chargers were threaded, but not the usb... kinda odd.... After about 15 min of tinkering I figured out it was just a contact charger, and I never did get mine to give a full charge either. Just purchased a newer version that is threaded, which is due this week, and I hope it does better...
