Its limited to 500mA. So even if you use a 2A charger it will only charge at 500mA.

^^^ That. The device is in control of the charging - or it better be. Under powering it with a low current power supply causes problems. But it will only draw as much current as the charging circuit is designed to draw. You can't "make" it draw 2A by using a 2A power supply.

Charging an 18650 @ 2amps will warm your battery up and likely take some cycles off your battery.
Use a 1amp charger or if you can find one a .5amp charger.

Good to know. Where did you find this information? I couldn't find it on the pioneer4u website or the yihi one either...
