I've had the WF-188 and it shorted out on me (sparked and went dead from static electricity discharged when I grabbed a battery to take out of it). I didn't much care for the spring loading design of it to begin with. I've also had 3 WF-139's and I gave one away because I found it more reliable and easier to get the batteries in and out. I like the 139 too because the second one right now is in my car and has a plug-in for DC (cigarette lighter) that I can use to charge batteries when I'm on the go. Just my thoughts

In regards to the green light flashing as it charges (but staying mostly red), mine does that too and it's normal. Once the lights turn green it wont charge the batteries any more but I still try not to keep batteries on the charger after they are charged.

Is it bad news to keep those AW IMR batteries on the charger for any length of time after the light turns green? Don't want to burn the house down... ya know.
Just keep in mind this is UltraFire you are talking about. Don't care how pretty the new ones look. They can and have gone into meltdown. The unattended/over night charging concerns me much more that any in-mod battery issues.

My apologies . . . opened a new thread.
