I'm doing a first time charge on the new Riva SE 510 batteries. I just plugged one in, the light flashed blue, and now there's no light on the battery. Charger light are red, but battery is not red or green. Is this normal?
If it is like the E-go charger then that's normal. Riva should be the same. When you screw the battery in the charger the battery light flashes blue a few times and go out. Then the charger stays red until the battery is charged, and then turns green when fully charged. Hope this helps.
I was having some issues with my Echo batteries not lighting up when I plugged them in to charge. Cleaning the connection on the charger (a simple wipe with a paper towel) cleared away some gunk - works like a champ now.
You'll have to watch the batt when you attach it, if the batt blinks a few times and the charger is red, its charging. If the batt doesn't blink at all during attaching then try cleaning the connectors, if that doesn't work say a few words and toss it in the trash, its a goneer.
It's a new battery...never been used. I'm just doing the eight hour charge recommended with the instructions. The light did flash blue, but I expected a red light on the battery as well as the charger. That's the way my battery works on my other kit, a Hello 016. Sounds like the Riva is different in this regard.....
Oh crap! I think I may have been looking at the button and not the light...The light on the charger is green now. I leave it on the charger for eight full hours?
Put the analogs down and start vaping. That's what you need to know right now.
The battery should be Lithium-Ion (or maybe some other variant of Lithium). Therefore, there is no memory and you don't affect its charging capabilities pulling it off the charger earlier. This 8 hour thing came from the NiMH / NiCd days. No longer. If the charger ain't charging, then you madam, are good to go. Hook it up and vape away.
