Charging Battery Blinking Red & Green Intermittently

I have a 900 mAh batterry that I use a cylinder shaped LR eGo atomizer on. When I charge it, after it blinks a bunch, indicating low charge, it has a red light on the charging adapter (coupler, whatever...) four an hour or two, and then it will turn green for several seconds, and then turn back to red. This goes on for hours. Is it something that the computer board in the battery is trying to comunicate, or is it purily coincidental, & my battery just likes X-mas colors?

I see the same thing with my eGo charger and the big battery. It seems like when it is "almost" charged it goes back and forth from red to green. I don't remember it actually blinking the very first time I charged it(I think it was solid red). The big batteries probably don't lose all of their charge during the day unless one is constantly vaping or doing lots of clean burns. Maybe if one would let it completely drain the light would stay red...just my guess.
