Help. I am traveling to the Middle East where the voltage is 220 volts. Will my wall charger be safe plugging into 220? I can get an adapter to physically plug into the wall but the adapter will not reduce the voltage to 110 like in the US. The charger connects to my battery through a USB port. Thanks in advance.

Where in the middle east? I have a customer that travelled to the UAE and had all his gear confiscated entering the country (Dubai).

Unless you get a step down transformer, charge off your computer. The "Euro" plug is only good for gear that has a selectable feature between 110 and 220. Most frequent European travellers buy their electricals with this in mind and only use them for such occasion e.g hair dryers, shavers, radios etc... That being said if you are travelling with a PC you require a step down transformer anyway, so there you go :)
