Charging the Vision Spinner II Variable Voltage 1600mAh Battery

Just purchased the Vision Spinner II Variable Voltage 1600mAh Battery. The Vision website says when the light turns Orange it is time to charge the battery. SO, when is it best to charge the battery?

1. When it turns orange - right away
2. When it turns orange and when I get too it
3. Wait until completely drained and unable to use it

djsvapour is right. The sooner you charge a lithium battery the longer it will last. All lithium batteries begin to deteriorate as soon as they are made and they wlll deteriorate faster at a low charge.

I charge at blue when possible and if not, whenever I can. Don't worry about it going down to red or cutting of every once in a while. Happens to my phone all the time and I'm 2+ years into the same battery.

Yeah I almost never wait until it's orange to charge. I do fully drain it once a month usually though.

anyone have a clue on the "life expectancy" of the VS II? i just got one and curious as to how long (guesstimate) i'll be able to keep this one before needing to replace it.

The important thing about charging eGo batteries is to use a 0.5A discharge adapter. Anything higher (i.e. a rapid charger for a phone) degrades the battery, and it really doesn't take many cycles to turn it into a piece of junk.

Just wanted to chime in that the moment mine turns to orange, the vapor basically disappears. No point to wait until it's totally dead. Mine is about 4 months old.
