You want IMR (lithium manganese) batteries, not ICR batteries like the Trustfires. IMR batteries are high drain, safe chemistry batteries, the only lithium batteries which should be used in mods.

Deeper Understanding of Mod Batteries

You should never skimp on batteries. They are the most important and dangerous part of your setup. It's not worth saving a few bucks on a battery when it could mean the difference between a blown up hand or blown up face. Buy high quality batteries at the start and be good to go for up to two years. Buy cheap and you'll be buying batteries every couple of months....or visiting your ER.

hello, was looking at getting this mod and wanted to know cheap batteries i could use for it. I was looking at Ultra Fire 4.2V Li-ion 6000mAh. Do they have to be a flat top? or can they have a top point like a AA? Also i found the cloupor gt 80w for $42 free shipping any better deals? im gonna use the mod wth my ijust 2 tank with 0.15 ni200 coils

+1 for what @Baditude said. Those UltraFire batteries are outrageously overrated.

There are no 18650's that can be used for vaping above a few watts with more than 3000mAh of capacity.
There are no 18650's with a genuine current rating over 30A.

Actually makes shopping for batteries much easier. :)

Do the regulated variable voltage mod like I mention have surge protection? If batteries are so dangerodangerous why are more ans more comapnies using removable batteries instead of built in batteries? So I want a low Mah IMR battery?

I assume because at some point those batteries will become bad in time just like regular batteries for say your tv remote and eventually throw them away versus just through away your entire mod. batteries are pretty cheap imo of course depending on your budget. other then that I cannot help you. I would assume batteries are something you would NOT want to skimp out on but know what brands are good and a decent price to pay for them. also with removable batteries we can just buy 2 sets or more and switch them out instead of recharging the whole damn mod and waiting hours. people with mech mods do this regulated mods imo I would if I forgot to charge it as a full tank of battery don't last me more then maybe 2 days at max sometimes 1 day only since I vape a decent amount.
