Building my first box mod, I will have all the pieces tomorrow but I was hoping someone could check my wiring diagram.

Its going to be a dual 18650 in parallel, with just a 12 V 20 Amp switch, 510 connector, and 2 bay battery holder in a Hammond 1591A box

Dont mind that extra + floating around lol

Thanks guys

yeah its considered a dc series switch it will be electrically the same either side on pos or neg but we never switch/break on the negative. problem is the arc in the switch, on pos side it makes a more tolerable arc than switching on the neg.. it will eventually wear out regardless if its a 20amp or 100 amp switch, thats the nature of the beast with dc. but a 100 amp switch will stay in service longer due to switch being cleaned by using high amperage. we do not pulse enough amps to wipe the switch clean and they just oxidize hardcore. many stories of switches lasting only a few months -- check out madvapes reviews and thats the reason why --dc arcs and probably switching neg. sage advice, toss in a mosfet..

hi again tom!
I never considered arcing at the switch...so listen to visus .
my mods have diy switches in them mostly with magnets and large contact points .also most of my mods have board in them .
so a switch on a mod like yours has different reqirements . right now working on a sx350. on that switch I am using contact points cut from a gold plated connecter soldered on the edges only not to contaminate the contacts with flux or solder .
in your case a mosfet would be a nice way to go .solves a lot of switch problems .happy modding !
