checking voltage (remaining battery) on a vtube

so by pressing the vtube red button 7 times i get the voltage left in the battery.. on fresh charge it shows 4.2.. i'm just wondering what's considered low and needs charging?

i only vaped like 10 minutes and it went down to 4.0

is that normal?

The recommended range for re-charging is, I believe around 3.4-3.5. I re-charge mine at 3.6-3.7 and rotate my batteries as I have 3 of them.

That is odd that it went down to 4.0 though in 10 minutes. You may want to double check it on a multimeter if you have one.

Yes, 4.2. However, I checked my battery with my multimeter fresh off the charger and it is actually 4.16. The Vtube will round it up apparently.

Mine also shows 4.2 on a full charge. I usually recharge when it's anywhere from 3.5-3.7V.

For all Li-ion batteries a full charge is about 4.2V. The two-digit inboard volt meters on most APVs will round it off to 4.2V. Actually, many of the better chargers will finish a charge somewhere between 4.13 and 4.17V. to maximize battery life.

Some say that Li-ion batteries last longer if you don't allow them to fall below 3.5V before charging. I'm not so sure of that. I recharge at 3.2V and my batteries are doing great.

Keep in mind that after Li-ion batteries drop below the nominal voltage of 3.7V the battery charge falls of at a much (and I mean much) faster rate.
