chemical taste, cleaned, now nothing

i started getting a horrible taste after contaminating a cart of mine with florida citrus. the atty doesnt seem to be the problem, but even after cleaning all of my attys, carts and replacing my mod filler i got this bad chemical taste whenever i use that particular cart. my taste buds reverted back to when i first started vaping, you know, when you cant taste any moderate flavors like ice cream.

now here is the funny part, i cleaned my attys again and now i dont even get that chemical taste. maybe i got the crap out and my buds are acting up, but i dont even get that dry taste when you run out of liquid in your cart. its just no flavor at all.

i have read that some people go through this taste bud problem every few months. for me, it seems to have started as soon as i got a resupply and tried a new flavor and did my regular maintenance on my atomizers and carts.

i am using a m401 atty and manual battery. any insight would be most welcome.

I do not know about the 401- however... if the cart can be disassembled you might try an isopropyl alcohol soak, or wash the cart in the dishwasher?

As far as the buds are concerned.. I keep 4 juices on hand that are different pg/vg mixes and switch between them to keep the buds fresh. Usually make a daily switch.

But I have a favorite juice I'll vape until I can't taste anything- so even planning will not help avoiding the problem.

Drink more water. That helps.

This problem with the M401 is the reason I started dipping. I cleaned the atty and cart, and got nothing at all. Then i realized that the 401 attys do not like to be dry.

Try dipping it a couple of times, or giving it a few drips. If you like, I have a monster email that I wrote for my friends containing all the personal woes and wins I have with my 401 that I can forward you. I will be doing a video on how to dip, drop and fill a 401 this weekend for all my newb friends and family that have started vaping (almost all my smokers!). I can reply to this when its done, or send a pm if you are interested.
