Nice mod but some of us prefer the durability of a fully mechanical device. That's like a 3A switch.
Without protection it would fail.

The Cherry bomber is safe.
Some vapers who buy it however are not.
That's why I mentioned installing a proper mosfet and resistor, just putting out an alternative if the look is what you're going for.

I'm not into cherry bombers, was interested in them till stumbled on the fact that it is a neg. switched.
Although i believe that authentic should be pretty safe for use, they come out too high for my budget, and i've seen numerous clones firing the moment atty makes full contact with 510 connector. I believe that problem is in the 510 insulator being poorly done, but since i've never had a chance to disassemble one, it remains unknown to me.
Definitely not a mod for a beginner, and definitely not a mod for experienced vaper who doesn't know the basics of power circuitry and how to check the safety on mods of a such construction...
On the other hand, the ones that are working with no issues, oh boy, that thing is a beast.
Looking at it from third angle, there is plethora of regulated devices with at least some kind of protection and are able to push some serious power to the atty at the same or even lower price.
Person who is looking for a device like a cherry bomber and is not familiar with mech's would be better off purchasing any 100-150W regulated device, ignoring the fact if it supports TC or not, because cherry is not TC device anyway, and looking at it from that point there are some really good devices for way under 200 bucks...
