I've been vaping two years, started october of 2013. I've since upgraded into box mods and vape 6mg usually True North flavors. I have a consistent chest pain on my right side and feel fatigued and "drained" a lot of the time, concerned it could be the vaping...
Has anyone had similar experiences?
I would see a doctor, what are you vaping PG/VG ratios????
Interesting on the heart burn! I've never had it until just recently. Wonder if its from running my Snow Wolf/Uwell Crown at 80-90 watts. This is the first I've heard of the heart burn from vaping. What's the theory on that?
I just read about this in the health part of the forum, but can't find it again (was a really long post). So I'll paraphrase from memory:
Nicotine relaxes the muscle between your stomach and asophagus (spelling?! i mean food tube!)
So stomach acid goes into your throat effectively.
When you smoke cigarettes it's usually 1 per hour, so the muscle has a chance to recover. But when vaping, especially subohming, you tend to do it for longer periods. Even if you're on 6mg, it can mean overall more nicotine than when smoking.
Reducing my Nic to 9 mg from 12 fixed stomach acid problems and a slight inflammation for me (though I also took some acid reducing meds for a short time), so thinning your liquid with some 0 nic liquid might suffice. Nicotine itself is acidic btw and it is acting on the nervous system of your stomach.
Cigarette smoke may be acidic, but nicotine itself is an alkaloid. The distilled nicotine we use in e-liquid is around pH 8.
