Chi Chi battery question.

I was wondering if an 18650 protected battery will fit in these or is a AW IMR 18650 good enough? Also I saw on a review that you can not use a single 18350 on these, I just want to verify if that is correct.

Single 18350, 18490 and 18650 batteries fit. You just remove the extension sleeve to use a 18350. It can handle longer batteries but I'd recommend IMR or hybrid batteries. I can't say which protected batteries might fit, but I have a red jacket Ultrafire 18650 that is too fat.

Thanks for the quick response, I was thinking that I had to use the kick with the 18350 to make it fit.

I was thinking of using:

Batteries : AW Protected 18650 3400 mAh

It looks like the protected AW batteries have the same diameter as the IMR, based on this chart - Battery test-review 18650 summary Of course, the 3400 mah model isn't in last year's chart!

I also have the Orbtronic 2250 mah hybrid button top and it fits fine too.

All I'm currently using in my 2 are 18350 flat top Efest. they work fine.

Ya I have a few of the orbtronic 18650, I was gonna sell one to my buddy that needed some and I was thinking about picking these 3400 mAh for more battery life.
