I think its pretty cool they can protect steel with what they get from them but think about what that did to us OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When they started paying a couple of cents for each empty soda bottle, the litter started disappearing. Want to get rid of those unsightly cigarette butts on the ground? Pay smokers to turn them in.

That will be quickly followed by what happened to the bottle situation. "No deposit - no return" sold as a convenience factor.
