Chrome Plating on KTS+ MOD

Hey guys, sorry if this is the wrong section to post this. Ok so here's the deal. I have The gold and siver chrome plated KTS. I want to strip the plating off so it is just a plain brass mod. Has anyond done this with there KTS ? If so did it mess up the threads on the mod once the plating was gone ? Also how did you remove the chrome plating and do you have any pictures. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advace guys and gals.

Have not done it with the KTS but when my mod with a gunmetal finish started wearing on the end cap, I used a dremal and polishing wheel and stripped it down to nice shiny stainless. Little time consuming though.
