Iv had this finish for a while now and i have to say the chrome is the strongest finish iv had so far. This thing just does not scratch. Iv had the satin finishes ,black chrome, polished and the chrome imo is the most resiliant to scratches. It does get fingerprints easy but thats not even a issue. Just wanted to post because i remember a few people asked. The chrome also feels and looks amazing. It feels like polished glass and looks like a mirror. :)

just don't inspect it more than what youre doing. There are micro scratches guaranteed. Try using a microfiber cloth they might just say HI to you.

thee most durable finish i have ever had is satin polished to a mirror finish.

I have been told by Provape that the Black Satin is their hardest scrath resistance finish, with the Chrome being 2nd..
But the polished to a mirror finish, now thats what Im talking about... How did you get that done?

no microscratrches or swirls at all,not even under the hologens . I do professional auto detailing on expensive cars so im the first that would notice them . Its not a polished SS finish so swirls and micro scratches are much harder to happen.

The black satin is a ceramic coat so yea its one of the strongest industrial finishes there is however ceramic coat takes a good 6-8 weeks to fully cure and reach its rock solid point so before it reaches that point it is possible to marr or scratch it.Because its a thick coating theres a lot of solvent evaporation to fully cure. If its still perfect after a couple months it will be perfect for a long time to come.

I've got some micro scratches on mine. You have to look closely under good lighting just to see them. I've had it for about a year. It never leaves my side. Given the conditions and environments that it has gone through I am happy that it still works. Not only does it still function the same as the day I first got it, from a foot away it still looks the same. The chrome finish holds up very well.

I just received a mini with the black satin finish. Thanks for the tip on the cure times Str8V8ping.
