Anyone know of something you can use to carry your Chuck around inside your pocket with, so the button doesn't get depressed?

Thanks!

If you want to put it in your pocket, Just unscrew the atty a few turns. Double check by pressing the switch, take a few drags and make sure it doesn't work. I typically just remove the atty and put both pieces in my pocket. I have a shop apron with loose pockets and I just put it in there without unscrewing the atty. Haven't had a problem yet.

I hope this helps.:)

Thanks Chuck, this is my hubby's Chuck, and he did just that today, just unscrewed the atty a little, and it fried another atty, melted the white plastic in the cart and quit working.

He does heavy construction work sooo, we just got it and already burned up 2 brand new attys, might have to get a different mod for work, idk

Even without an atty on it at all, if the button is depressed there's still power, you'd have to take the battery out and unscrew the atty to make certain.

I guess since you're using an apron with loose pockets, nothing gets depressed long enough to burn anything or run your batts down.

Thanks for the suggestion though...:)

No... with the atty completely off you can press the button all day.
No complete circuit for the little electrons to travel through.

You shouldn't have to take it all the way off though. Just unscrew it enough that you can't get a hit off it. Even then it *could* work its way back down. So if you want to be 100%, just take it all the way off.
But there's zero reason to take out the battery. In fact you're probably better off with the batt in the 'built like a tank' holder than floating around in your pocket.

I am thinking about getting a Chuck and am just wondering what the difference between the 18350 & 18650 batteries is. I want to get one for myself and my husband and don't know if I should get a big Chuck & a little Chuck, or 2 bigs? Is the battery difference just mAh? I would just like to know if I get a big & a little, what different chargers & batts to get. I would like the highest mAh possible for each. Also, are there, like, universal chargers that charge all types of batteries? I'm just trying to limit the excess amount of stuff I have to buy.

The little chuck takes the 18350(1200mAh) or 16340(880mAh). The big chuck will take the 18650(up to 3000mAh) for 3.7V vaping.

I hear this is a good charger for all of these:
Ultrafire wf-139 Lithium Ion battery charger 14500, 17500, 17670, 18500, 18650, 18670

See this thread for a lot of battery info...

As far as whether to get big or little. That's a though call. I have both and really like the size of the little. Fits nicely in the hand. But then the big has the advantage of 3-4 day batt life or 6V vaping.
Just depends on what you want. If you have no interest in 6V, I would go little.

My suggestion would be to get a little for you and a big for the hubby. Then you both be able to try both and then if one of you wants the other style, then you just get a third of that style later.
Then everyone is happy and you have a spare.

Thank you! Yeah, I did read the whole battery thread and couldn't find my answer! Is there a reason that you can't use a 18650 in the little Chuck? Basically, are the 18650 & 18350 interchangeable in the big & little or is 1200 mAh the highest you can put in the little Chuck? Is the charger you linked to able to charge a 18350 also? I probably will get a big & little, and I have a graphic that I can't wait to put on mine, and it's really girly, so if my husband probably won't use mine in public, so I guess he would just have to get his own, although I don't think he wants custom graphics at all.

18650s and 18350s are not interchangeable, but it's purely a matter of size. Electrically they are the same except for battery life.

The 5-digit code actually indicates the size of the battery. The first two digits are the diameter and the next 2 are the length of the cell (both in mm). So a 18650 is 18mm across and 65mm long while an 18350 is 18mm across and 35mm long, or roughly half the length of the 18650.

You could use a 16350 instead of the 18350 (2mm smaller in diameter) but you will generally get a shorter battery life because of reduced volume of the battery and the battery may be a bit loose. Though if the little Chuck has a spring like the regular Chuck I have, the battery shouldn't be going anywhere once the end cap is on.

Anyone know if there's a charger that charges both 18350s and 18650s?

This one....
TL-100 Universal Li-Ion Charger for 18650, 17670 & 16340 cells

and this one...
Ultrafire wf-139 Lithium Ion battery charger 14500, 17500, 17670, 18500, 18650, 18670

Personally I like the second much better. You can charge 18350 and 18650 at the same time. Edit: I'm not 100% sure you can do both at the same time with this one. Anybody else know??
I use the TR-001 and do both at the same time.

I have the wf-139 for my 18650s and from what I can tell, you should be able to do an 18350 and an 18650 in there at the same time. Both channels are independent and charge each battery separately regardless of their state of discharge, so I don't see where charging two different 3.7 bats would be an issue. However, I have not personally tried it because my 18350s are LiFePo4 @3.0v and need a dedicated charger.

My charger is at home, so I don't have it in front of me to verify, but if I'm not mistaken mine is slightly different than the picture. Mine doesn't have the contacts on the sides. It just has the sliding plate that connects to the negative end of the battery. When inserting my 18650, this plate just slides all the way down to accommodate the battery and a shorter one, such as a 14500, 18350, or 16340 just wouldn't need to slide as far and you could still have 2 bats side by side.

Basically, mine looks like the TrustFire one, but it's a WF-139.

I Have question about batteries for someone: Do the batteries have to have button tops? I found a 18650 2600 mAh battery, but it has a flat top,

Does anyone know for certain if this will work ok in a CHuck, or has anyone else here used them and know more about them? Is there much difference between 2200 mAh & 2600 mAh?

Thanks!

I've run my Chuck with the battery backwards just for curiosity's sake, so the flat, negative side was on the screw contact inside and it worked, but it was a bit flaky. I think that was mainly because the spring isn't designed to to make contact with the small positive button top and mostly just nestles around it. So I don't thing the flat top batteries would be an issue, YMMV.

Thanks Lunaras, these batteries are made by AW and from everything I've read on other forums, you can't get much better quality lithium batteries than AW, and are considered premium lithium batteries.
Not sure how they'll fit inside the Chuck, but sounds like, from what you're telling me, they could very well work.

I found some with the same mAh, by Tenergy, and they do have the button top, but I've seen how crappy they make their chargers and have read posts on the forum of all the problems, soooo, I'm kindof leery of that brand.

anyway, thanks again.

Need to update this thread, as my original post is too old to edit.

Most 510 to 901 adapters being sold now (including the ones Jeff sells) are already compatible with KR808 and Greencig Cartomizers. There is no reason to modify by drilling holes.

All the attys and cartos shown in my pic in post #2 will work if you get a 510 Chuck and the adapter set from Jeff.
