So i have not had a cigarette in over a year. The other day my 8 hour shift turned into a 13 hour shift (the great life of a restaurant manager) and both my 18650 batteries died. I bummed a cigarette from a coworker and felt completely unsatisfied with it. Kind of interesting that when i started my vaping journey it was completely the opposite.

Grats! :) Glad it didn't suck you back in. I have been bad. I got tired of the flavor I had and it took two weeks to process a sample pack of flavors I bought. Somehow I got lost in the system. Ended up quitting for four days and then smoking again. Too many stressors irl right now to even attempt. I hope to be saying the same thing next year as you mrrobhog08! :)

I have not wanted one since I quit and I hope I never forget how nasty the last one I had tasted. The lesson here is to make sure you have charged batteries or multiple to get you through the day. (or a spare charger at work). If you went through 2 18650 during a long shift. . . vape on.

If I had wanted a cigarette, I would have had one so, really I would just be thankful for vaping and what you have gone through and not worry to much about one (it had to be stinking) cigarette. Happy vaping and charged batteries to you.

I still smoke cigarettes here and there. I do like the flavor of camel crush menthols, still doesn't taste gross to me, but I haven't bought a pack in a long long time. I don't miss my hands, clothes or car smelling like cigs though. I hated my hands smelling like cigs. My car is also a lot cleaner. I've noticed that I think I miss a good mouth to lung smoke though. I might have to get a dedicated atomizer to be my go to mtl atty

For a long time, I was smoking Camel Turkish Gold and vaping at the same time. I kept waiting and waiting for the Camels to start tasting like crap, but they never did. What happened to me is that I started forming a taste for the Camels right after having been vaping. Weird, I know. Eventually, I just had to agree with myself that since the Camels were bad for my health, and vaping was capable of supplying nicotine, then the Camels had to go. That's when I started really working on reducing the number I smoked per day. It was quite a process, but now I about 1.5 months vaping only. Now days, when I start thinking about smoking, I make sure to think about all the things I didn't like about being a chronic smoker. Those thoughts are usually enough to put me off the idea of smoking again.

Welcome to ECF mrrobhog08! Sorry to hear that your 18650s died, but CONGRATS on giving up cigarettes full-time. How many have you NOT smoked? That's pretty cool :)

Camel Crush Blues were my last smokes before I finally quit. I was humored by snapping the little menthol thingy :D

I haven't had or desired a cigarette since I quit 3 years ago. I have no plans to ever stop vaping, but if I had to stop vaping...

:blink::unsure:

...nah, I don't even want to go there. (I'll never stop!)

I try to never say"never" myself. But I use 99.9% of the time a lot.

Congrats on the vaping and I do feel the exact way you do. . . 99.9% of the time.

The amount of gear and spares I pack every day is directly proportional to the time it would take me to walk back home if I had to :D Either that or 24 hours, whichever is greater. I haven't been caught short since this policy was adopted.
Like everyone has said, having a smoke or two in a pinch is not the end of the world either.

Thats a good policy to have. I went out and bought a few more spare batteries, a charger, a roll of kanthal, cotton, screwdriver set, one of my old mech mods, the tugboat rda i dont use and several bottles of my diy juice as a community emergency kit for all my fellow vapers at the restaurant.

Although it might be a BIG size mod for some of the newer vapers here, an Eleaf iStick 50w (4400 mah battery) mod is a good choice if you need something that will last you a VERY long time. Since you can set it as low as about 5 watts (approx. 3.3 volts), you can use just about any tank/clearomizer on it. You won't have to carry extra batteries with you, and you can charge it via USB plug. When you decide to "step things up", and possibly get a sub-ohm tank ( like the Horizon Arctic tank that I'm using now )....you will be able to kick the iStick 50w up to the power that you will need to power the tank. The iStick 30w (2200 mah) is also a good choice, as it's about 2/3 the size of the 50w. Best of luck to y'all with vaping success. ( I haven't had a cigarette in over 4 1/2 years ).

I carry at least 2 vapers everyday, along with extra batt.s and juice with an extra coil just in case. I started doing this after my 1st Spinner died on me and I had no back up.I broke down and bought a pack and nearly choked on the 1st one. I went home and bought an ego starter kit that had two batt.s and began my definitive drive to never suck on another analog. So far so good. Cig free since Nov. 2014
