Quit the stinkies 4 weeks ago and felt great until the past couple days. Sore throat and losing my voice. I was a bit concerned until I did a little research and found that it is all part of the healing process.
Will vaping slow down the healing process? Not that I intend to quit, just curious.
Hmm... not too much, I don't think, but PG can irritate the throat, I'm told. I've been accustomed to it for 30 yrs in my asthma inhalers, but sometimes it can make the throat hit so intense it gives me an asthma attack. PG also is extremely dehydrating, so if your cilia are working, you probably need a lot more water to help get rid of whatever's left in your chest to get rid of, from smoking.
I have definitely been dehydrated lately. Drank glass after glass of water today. Most everything I vape is 50/50 and haven't had any grief. I am still just experimenting in what works best. May need some tweaking.
Well, nicotine is supposed to ...... most healing process, but much less so than smoking. A good productive cough is often a sign of healing cilia, but I think the voice and sore throat problems are likely to be unrelated.
For many people even 50/50 is too much pg. Try going higher vg like 100% + 5-10% water. Or at least 70-80% vg, eventually you will find the balance you prefer.
Are you inhaling the vapor? Start taking mouth hold to short lung inhales till it passes. It could just be an adjustment period.. We all have one with various side effects.
