yeah the first head i was on was a protank and was great after about half a tank lasted quite a while before getting gunked up so i just swapped for an evod head earlier this evening and figured it would line out after breaking in, doesn't seem to be getting any better at the moment tho

yep, rule out the possibilities... what sort of flavor is it?

how thick is the juice? I haven't had a single problem with 50/50. I don't go any higher with my VG.

have you tried the juice with a diff head or clearo/cart/atomizer to rule out the juice its self?

yup, it's 555 from another vendor and its the same bottle I've been using with the previous head and also in my ce5 on my ego mini clone

and it's just the Evod head that's causing the problem...

so far yes, haven't given up on it yet tho, was going to give it a couple tanks for break in before disassembly

probably quicker & easier to replace the wick and coil than to screw around trying to figure it out

did you crack it open and check out the wicks? I haven't had the need to remove any "flavor wicks" but others do. Like I said, I haven't had any gunking or taste problem after a few tankfuls and rinsing.

When changing juice, I can taste the old juice for a hit or two, then it's all new flavor... And I've used both the 1.8 and the 2.2 ohm heads.

lol yeah a rebuild would be easier but I'm out of wicking material except for ss mesh at the moment and the ss experiment i tried produced a hot leg and burnt the insulator lol but I'll eventually figure it out, I've still got extra replacements for now tho so I'm not at a total loss yet, i had to dial the voltage back a bit since the protank was the 2.5ohm and the evod heads are 1.8

try a dry burn sometime, just to make sure it isnt some kind of coating on the wire or something, if that isnt it wick is all thats left really.

i have 2 protank heads & 8 evods heads all rebuilt, i had something of an off taste in one evod head so i just rebuilt it

i didnt have any wick at the time, so i used cotton from a cotton ball to make the wick for the short term.

lol yeah I'm not totally upset with it, I've been using it a little over a week now and my Genesis has been sitting on the dresser all lonely lol

the protank heads are currently hard to find at a decent price... but I finally order a 5 pack just for the future... ........ has a coupon code to get the PT itself for $14.05... I only paid 90 cents more... great price...

i got the pt and 10 evod heads for 20 + shipping (2.50) wasn't too bad lol, could've saved the 2.50 had i wanted to drive an hr to pick it up

im using hemp as a wick right now, dont have any silica (need to get some)
