Hi guys,

I started vaping 3 weeks ago only and I wanted to try the "dry" experience.
Following some advices I bought a Cisco 306 LR 1.8ohm and a Siam mods drip shield to go with it.

I have some question regarding how to use it.

Here is some instruction I read on the AvidVaper website that I don't understand:

These atomizers are not designed to be run on standard (cigarette sized) batteries and are known to significantly reduce the lifespan of eGo | Riva style batteries.

How is it possible that using the Cisco 306 LR on a eGo can reduce its lifespan? I can run clearomizers with 1.8ohm coils without any issue but I can't do the same with the Cisco?
I currently use it on my Vamo v2 but I wish I could screw it on my eGo 650mah or my Twist 650mah.

Do not use these atomisers on power sources greater than 3.7v.
Why that? It is only 7.6W. My sweetspot is more like 9W. I can't push the Vamo above 3.7V with the Cisco or I misunderstood this?

Last question: what is a "bridge" and what is the purpose of that?
I bought my Cisco here: Cisco LR 306 Atomiser - 1.5 / 1.8 / 2 / 2.5 Ohm - Low Resistance Atomisers - Atomisers
Is it a bridgless version? If not, should I unbridge it since I read people saying it will better perform without the bridge?

Thank you for helping me in my first step in the dry world :)

It won't hurt it, don't worry about it. It's bridged, it'll hit fine but gunk up after awhile so you can either unbridge it or just buy a bridgeless (what I use to drip). I bought a couple bridged atties when I was starting, they're OK but the bridgeless are much better for dripping - more pure, just a cup and a coil - nothing else to interfere w/ flavor.

I think it's just a precautionary warning due to the high amp draw you get with using low res anything on a 3.7V device. Genuine Joyetech eGo batteries are regulated at 3.3V and you can set the Twist to whatever voltage you like, so it's a bit of a non-issue really. Higher amps will mean less vape time between charges and reduce the overall useable life of the battery, though - whether you're using a low res Cisco atty or a low res head on a Vivi Nova. That's the trade-off.

I currently use it on my Vamo v2 but I wish I could screw it on my eGo 650mah or my Twist 650mah.

I often use a 2 ohm 306 on my Twist. I like high wattages, but I find that the 1.8 ohm can be a bit harsh at any given setting above 3.8V on the Twist. 306s seem to burn much hotter than 510s. YMMV.

Again, I think the warning about using anything other than 3.7V power source refers to unregulated non-VV devices. It's not something you need to worry about - it's just a case of the vendor covering their behind.
