I just had a bad experience with Cisco LR 306 attys.... ordered 5 and they all died within 2 weeks!! Contacted vendor and thank goodness, he immediately offered to replace with Joye LR510 because vendor no longer carries Cisco LR 306 attys.

I've used LR510 before on my Reo mod but after trying the Cisco LR 306, I don't want to go back to the LR510 Joye..... It is my understanding AvidVaper.com is the only site where you can NOW purchase authentic Cisco LR306 Attys..... True?? Also, do you know the difference between the 1.5ohm Cisco LR306 & the 2.0 ohm Cisco LR306? Is the 1.5ohm more powerful or the 2.0ohm? Logic to me is higher the number higher the output......do I have this backwards?

Thanks so much for your help..... I'm down to my last CiscoLR 306 and I need to order more very soon.

As bornagainst said, the lower the ohms, the hotter the atty runs. You are correct, avidvaper is the only place to get cisco lr 306s (and 510s...i believe vaporflow still has the cisco lr 901s). I'm surprised all 5 of yours died within 2 weeks. My cisco's having been lasting a month +. Even then, none have actually died, just gotten weaker. Perhaps they could be revived with a cleaning, but after getting that much life outta them I just toss them in the "back-ups" bin when performance starts to slip.

the cisco lr 306s are serious juice monsters. you've gotta keep them nice and wet. perhaps you've been running them too dry and that has contributed to their early demises?

Been running Cisco LR306's for months and have about 30 on hand. They can be killed and I have done it in about 24 hours when starting out with them. First make sure you prime with about 4 or 5 drops when new. Do not chain vape them so they are scoarching hot. If the DT is hot on your lips you are running them too hard. Prior to refilling with 3 drops let them cool a bit. Thermal shock is tough on the element and repeatedly dropping cold liquid on a hot element can cause fatigue and eventually a break in the coil. I have been able to fix mine if this occurs. Pull bridge, dewick and look for a fracture in the coil. take needle nose tweezers and gently squeeze coil. Test with multimeter and if still around 1.5 ohm then it is ok to use. If lower do not use on eGo type batts. Also note that Volcano is an authorized reseller of the Cisco LR306's but if you are having issues I would suggest trying the 2.0 ohm ones on Cisco's site.

I have been using the 1.5 Cisco LR306's since last year and usually get 3-4 weeks before they get weak and need replacing. I haven't killed one dead yet but I keep them WET lol.

I ordered some of the 2.0 version after Nuck suggested they might be better with my ProVari and would provide same performance at a slightly higher voltage than the 1.5's. I love the 1.5's on 3.6-3.7 so I'm looking forward to trying the 2.0's in the 4.2'ish range.

Cisco has been on top of his site orders, mine have come quick and I'm tickled he finally has his own site going. Highly recommend!

Thank you, thank you.... for all the great information about the Cisco LR 306. I vape on a REO GRAND (that I luv luv). I'm pretty sure I may have killed them by not letting them cool down before re-firing, but not sure. I can be a non-stop vaping maniac. I will take all of the advice and come up for air.... this will give coil time to cool down.... Thanks again fellow ECF Vapers.....

How to make them last longer....

Press 3 seconds, stop 2 seconds, press 3 seconds. If you are a deep vaper like me, this is crucial. Taking constant 8-9 second drags will kill your atty. Giving it the 2 seconds to cool down between presses is a great idea, and you don't notice a difference in your drags.

Thanks much for the instructions.... I've never held the manual button 8-9 seconds.... maybe 4 but I didn't let it rest for 2 secs when super vaping... now I know the drill and like it very much... Mucho Gracias

Thanks Liv2Ski for the instructions on trying to revive my 5 dead 306 attys... I hope I can manuever this surgery in order to restore. I've removed bridges before on 510's but never squeezed a coil. This will be interesting. I don't have a multimeter and I'm not using it on an eGo.... I have a Reo Grand 18650 battery. I'm definitely going to try the 2ohm Cisco... Thanks again

I am glad that you know where to find them and will be back in your happy vaping place soon. It can be a daunting task to get there.

I, too, am a fan of the Cisco LR306 atty. It has been my favorite since July of last year. It was almost as if vaping nirvana had been achieved. :) My favorite combo at the moment is an lr306 atty on a mega eGo battery or on a GGT at 3.7volts (18650 batt). Tomorrow, though, I plan to use the lr306 on the Darwin and see if I can find that happy place. When I do, then I am going to try some standard resistance atties on it and see how that works out.

Best wishes! :)

Thanks Mamacat..... searching for the Nirvana is definitely a task at hand. Just when you think you have it, something better comes along that you want to try ;) My journey began with the best, thanks to my non-smoking son. He researched and got me a Joye 510.... then the eGo.... Then I upgraded to the Mega eGo... thought I hit Nirvana Land until I started reading about the REO GRAND.... well, I zoomed straight to another paradise. I don't know what the Darwin is but if it's a mod, I know you are in a happy place.... I fell in love with the Reo Grand due to pure laziness on my part with the dripping and battery charging. When my son saw my Reo Grand upgrade, he said "When I visit you the next time, will you have a tank on your back with a hose in your mouth.....LOL.... I had a huge belly laugh then I got ticked. I knew then he didn't truly understand vaping..... he was concerned about my analogs, so he got me the Joye....then when he watched me constantly vaping (or sucking as he calls it), he became concerned again. I told him to chill and quoted the famous line I read on ECF "I will stop vaping when I start back smoking analogs!".....I love that quote and use it all the time when confronted about "when are you going to stop vaping?" Hope you're not experiencing those questions.... So, presently, my Nirvana is Reo Grand with Cisco LR306 (if I stop killing them) and BackWoods Brew Espresso.....wooohoooo! If you've never tried BackWoods Brew, it's a must..... Thanks again and I'm going now to look up the Darwin.....oh, gosh, here I go again. Did I read vaping is cheaper than analogs somewhere in the beginning of all of this? I think my banner is lying about the savings but I really get happy when I see the xxxxxx analogs I've avoided. Happy Vaping Trails To You

You are welcome and I hope it works. If not at least you have some good advise and should be on your way to getting some longer life out of this amazing atty

LOL - sounds all too familiar. I don't get too many questions about when am I going to quit vaping, as I have made it clear that it won't happen unless I am chained and shackled. My son actually likes that I do not smoke any more. He is 10 and a big advocate for e-cigs when we are out and about. He is not shy either - he will answer any questions anyone might ask. Love that kid to pieces. He even still gets on me for rolling the window down in the truck when I vape. It is still a habit for me. Same goes with hand to mouth and blowing out something visible. lol

Anyway, I hope that you get there. And, YES, we were supposed to be saving money. lol I hadn't bought a new mod in months, prior to hearing about the Darwin. I broke down and got this one based on the premise the once vaping Nirvana was found, you can switch atties or cartos and still get the same vaping experience. The test for this is, of course, the lr 306 from Cisco. Prior to trying the Cisco atty, I had ordered some 100 901 atties and 200 510 atties. So, I certainly don't want them to go to waste. Hoping the Darwin lives up to those expectations. If it does, then I will be set for a really, really long time (assuming the PV holds up through all the atties). lol

Keep us informed through your journey. Our experiences, while slightly different, are all still relatively the same. :)

Thanks, This definately helped, I still am not to keen on the cisco 2.0, not sure what it is yet but I tried it this way also and I still dont get much flavor, I primed it and seem to keep it wet enough, any more would flood. I have been thru 4 510 attys in as many weeks and am sure was alot to do with being a noob and dragging way to long while dripping. I wondered if the cisco had a sorta breakin time like the 510 but so far has not been for me, any suggestions appreciated. I currently use the ego xl. Im not knocking the cisco just saying. Thanks, Scott

I've been using the Cisco 1.5 306's for months and just got my hands on the 2.0 version. To me they didn't have much of a break in period and no nasty primer woot! I am not sure about on the eGo xl but I noticed increased flavor when I switched to the 2.0 version. I'm using on mods in the 4 volt range. When I was using the 1.5ohm version I prefered 3.7 volts. The higher ohms to me needs a little more voltage.

The 1.5 versions worked well on the eGo but I suspect you might need a slight bump in volts to hit your sweet spot with the 2.0ohm version. Do you have other devices you can try it on perhaps??

I ordered two Cisco 306es and the first one died in two days. However, the second one is still going strong and I like them so much I just ordered four more without any reservations at all. It seems pretty likely to me that, especially because of the nature of what an atty does, you are going to get some dogs now and again, even from Cisco.

For me it seems they burn to hot, my batt is a 900mah and fresh is about 4.2v so I figure about 3.9 under load and the only time it was giving the hit I liked was when at almost dead which I am guessing at 3.2v. I was out of attys except for the cisco and was prefering the 510 E2 R4 Cartomizers for dripping which took some practice but does work in a pinch, I had 4 ciscos and am trading 2 for 510's so I will keep trying these or keep them for a half dead batt. I finally got my order of 510's today and I am not sure if it is being a noob or what but I take 3 or 4 puffs on one hit which is what seems to give me that deep feeling in the chest and I like it, mild yet warm. Also, being only 2 weeks with no analog I am still constantly vaping and lucky if I get a week out of an atty, am sure things will change as they already have and I will keep learning and progressing which is half the fun.

I have not been able to kill a Cisco 306 or 510. I have killed a pair of 801's very quickly.

We've been taking some hard looks at the Cisco attys on my VapeTV show. You really can't go wrong with any of them...they all offer different experiences. I find the 1.5 510 to be pretty damned awesome. I like the 1.5 306, but it kills a lot of flavor in my opinion. The 2.0 306 still produces nice warm plumes of vapor, but doesn't sacrifice the flavor.

I have a pair of Cisco 1.5 306's that have been in heavy use since Sept. No problems to speak of. I have a pair of 1.5 510's that have been going since October w/o issue as well.
