Classic Caramel Mocha Frappe tastes funny

2 of the last 4 bottles I have purchased of the Classic Caramel Mocha Frappe juice have a funny taste to them. Something is not quite right, almost like a chemical taste.

I sent an email to V4L - who replied promptly, and said that all juices are taste-tested upon arrival. And that there have been no problems detected with this juice.

But I'm quite certain that something is different. I was wondering is anyone else has noticed this?

I just ordered some carts of this and they all taste burnt. I thought it was just me.

Well there is something you can try, it doesn't always work with premium juices but I have done it once or twice with good results.



Really shake the bottle good for at least a full minute and again on day 5.

Thanks SD, I watched your video last night, opened the bottles and placed them in a closet.

I was under the impression that the steeping applied to the USA juices, and I believe the Classic Caramel Mocha is from China. Nevertheless, I am taking your advice.

I will give them another try after the steeping.

You're right Yano, but at this point what do you have to lose? As you noted this batch seems funny and I certainly know what you mean by a "chemical" taste. It's worth a shot!

I've no prior experience with it, but found the prefilled carto's to be quite nice. It has a good mocha/coffee dominance (might be what you detected Denise65). I gave it 4 of 5 stars.

The vanilla mocha frappe prefilled carts had a medicinal hint to them, so for me, it was 2-stars only.

plarkinjr, You might be on to something. I wonder if this juice isn't simply mislabeled. Perhaps its vanilla mocha frappe behind a classic label.

I have found that some regular ( non usa line ) of the last shipment is so newly made that it has to steep a little too ...my wowboy was just made 10/24/2011 .....id say shake and steep per snow's advice

That is so funny! I have never really liked the caramel mocha frappe, but adore the vanilla mocha frappe! Last time I tried the caramel was over a year ago so maybe it has improved?
