(I hate Photobucket...)

Ok, I don't know what the heck the Bucket is telling you to do, but whatever it is PBucket is generating html code for the image - which is why the insert image function here isn't working.

But at least the parsing option (I think that's what's doing it) here is, converting the .html code into a URL to display the image.

In other words Photobucket is telling you to insert:

...myimage.jpg.html

and ECF is converting that URL into:

...myimage.jpg

so it can be viewed.

Maybe I'm a .....,but the images should appear when i preview my classified post, right? Not just the link.

I don't think it will because of what a PITA Photobucket has become. (See previous post.) It won't let you post a direct link to the image itself, they insist on making you post an HTML link to the image instead.

I see the problem now. You're getting a full [img] link from Photobucket, then trying to use the insert image function, which adds the tags for you. But when you copy it from PB, you already have the tags. So just copy from PB, then paste into the message body, and you'll be fine (don't use Insert Image function, IOW).

Rick: the HTML code is fine in this case, as the [img] tags with photo file name are embedded in the HTML code. This enables you to click on the photo to be taken to PB to view the image directly.

Hope this all made sense! :)

OK, thanks. I guess I'll try posting my thread as is and see what happens. What photo hosting site would you recommend? Maybe it's time for a switch.

Testing...

Worked for me when clicking Advanced Edit to see a preview first. :)

(And yeah, I'm with you in that I don't care much for PB, and use imgur now.)

It should work. I just got through fiddling with your images in the sandbox (no... wait... that wounds weird) and Go Advanced, Preview worked for the PB links. So there's that.

imjur is good, without the heavy handed web site coding that PB now uses. Don't even think of using tiny pic - seriously, don't.
