When you put a flavor such as cinnamon or mint in an atomizer it pretty much becomes a dedicated atomizer for that flavor. Both of those flavors are very hard to remove from the atomizers, IMO.
You could try using straight vg or pg and drip on the mesh in the atomizer and maybe vape the flavor away.

It is best to dedicate atomizers to flavors (or find flavors that taste good over the top of each other). I have an atomizer for Menthol (I use a small green star sticker on the atomizer) since that is very difficult to clean out. One for tobacco flavors, one for fruit and one for coffee flavors.

I have had good results cleaning with EverClear Pure Grain Alcohol (PGA) or a good high proof Vodka. Blow out, soak for a few hours, blow out and shake it like a thermometer to remove all liquid (it evaporates, so no water needed). Don't forget to prime the atty well with your next liquid.

If you don't have access to alcohol, you can try using plain PG or VG (thin the VG a bit with a drop or two of water). Blow out the atomizer well, and drip the plain liquid on the atomizer and vape until the e-liquid flavor dissipates some. Not terribly enjoyable and may take a while but helps to vape away flavors some. This won't work with menthol.

........I guess I have to try to drip and drip until the taste goes away. I just can't use Snickerdoodle for daily vaping....too strong and sweat.

I keep wondering if you could use a contact lens cleaning solution on atomizers. I use something called Clear Care in a special case that removes deposits from contact lenses. If I can fit an atomizer into a case (there is a special disk in the case that causes it to nutrilize the solution overnight) I will give it a try on an old atomizer to see how it works. I know it wouldn't be toxic because it is neutral after 6 hours, and you just rinse your contacts with water and put them in. I have actually used Clear Care to clean out the sink hoses on my boat...it works great on all the deposits in the hoses so maybe it'll work for atomizers too. I'll check and report back later.

I am not a big fan of cinnamon anything. I tried the snickerdoodles and it was just a bit much for me. Dedicated the atomizer for one flavor-ugh. Oh well, leason learned for me.

Yeah....Snickerdoodle tasted best juice in the world...but after vaping it couple of times it's really too much. Very strong and candy taste.

I rinse atty with water, blow it out through threaded end, several times. Fill with VG, blow it out several times. Usually gets rid of most left over flavors. If not, do you have a coffee flavor ? Vape a little of that and you should be ok. But yea, for the cinnamons, cloves, licorice, etc. better to have their own atty. It helps to use something "that goes with it" to use it up out of the atty.

I have 0mg Capuccino. I've been dripping using Cherry Cola...seems to do the trick. Lessons learned.....using strong tasting liquid :)

Nena, that sounds interesting and promising. Seems to start as a hydrogen peroxide solution (to clean) then the metal in the bottom of the case neutralizes the solution into saline (salt). The saline would have to be rinsed out (salt would be corrosive to the metal in atomizer I'd think) but should rinse out completely with either water or PGA afterward, but it might help to get some of the .... off an atty or a stubborn flavor out.

Is it expensive?

I used google and found this info. page:
CIBA Vision Clear Care: a hydrogen peroxide based cleaner for contact lenses

and this Clinical contact lens practice - Google Books

The disk seems to work for 3 months according to the above link? If we could figure out what to use for the small platinum plated piece, you could use the solution and put the platinum plated piece in and it would work the same (???). Interesting.

Exo (who is well known and very trusted on ECF) has used Peroxide with a burn method to clean so take some tips and safety info. from the thread maybe? Check out http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...er-cleaned-simple-cheap-effective-method.html

I'm lazy... if PGA soak doesn't do it, the atty goes in a pile for "later" (lots later). :2cool:

Clear Care is about $8.99 a bottle (includes the case with the disk) at the pharmacy, but I get a two bottle pack at COSTCO for $14.99. The disk will last about three months with daily use...but if it works on the atomizers it would probably last for a year as you wouldn't be cleaning them every day. And you would need to rinse the atomizer and allow it to dry well before you tried to use it again. I'll toss my old one in some solution this afternoon and report back on if any "gunk" comes out!

I soaked my old atomizers in the Crest Pro Health for 3 days-not one drop of gunk to be seen in the container. I stirred, shook and swirled-nadda-nothing.
I wasn't trying to revive them, I was just interested in finding out if it really removed anything. Did not seem to remove one single drop of old juice.
Just my findings.

Yeah, Crest needed to be water rinsed and still had some flavor. Didn't notice anything great from using it other than attys were minty fresh... Yuck. I did read that it worked better if hot. Too fiddly... so I use PGA to clean.

If an atty is really bad, I throw it in a glass or plastic bowl with 2-3" of water covering it and boil it in the microwave for a couple of minutes (yeah, you can cover metal things with water and safely boil them!). Works great so far (but can melt or deform the plastic air draw hole in a 510, so I don't boil those unless it is a last ditch effort), then I use PGA to displace the water, let evaporate and juice back up.

I only use one atomizer, and I change flavors all the time.
And this includes (among dozens of others) clove, atomic cinnacide, and chocolate mint.

I have been known to switch flavors every hour, or even every half hour.
I really don't have any problems with any flavors sticking around for very long.

What's my secret?

I'm not really sure, but I can tell you that I blow out the atomizer when I change flavors.
And when I say I blow out the atomizer, I mean, yeah, I really, really blow it out good.

Then I just start using the next flavor.
Usually, the old flavor is still noticeable for at least a couple of drags.
But even the toughest flavor is pretty much always gone within five or six drags.

My thinking is that most people don't blow out their atomizers like I do.
Dainty little blows isn't going to cut it, not even medium blows will.

It's like my wife blowing her nose.
I don't even know why she wastes her time.

When I blow my nose, the entire block is aware of it.
:)

But my point is really this, whatever gets the old juice out gets the old juice out.
And if you can't or won't blow that hard, just rinsing under very hot tap water should work fine.

If there is ever anything that is really causing me a problem, I do some rinse/dry burn cycles.
That always fixes everything right up.

JMHO YMMV
