Have you tried to dry burn it? Nothing I've used to clean it has been as effective.

Blow it out, wash it out, blow it out again, hold the button down to fire the atty, keep doing it until the wick inside the piercing straw is actually glowing red, maintain that red glow for about 30 seconds and done.

Once you've cleaned a T atomiser out it can take a while for it to really soak liquid up again. Once it's assembled, try a few short, sharp sucks on the mouthpiece to help it soak into the wick and give it enough time to really get in there.

I've found out that in addition to the burnout proceedure if you put 2 drops on the wick spike and 4-5 drops of liquid alongside the spike plate the atty will start to work and taste right faster. Plus try to not let the tank run completely dry. There is an absorbent metal ring under the spike plate (looks like crushed tin foil) that needs to be soaked. It holds about .2-.3ml I estimate. It takes longer to get it wet with just the wick action.

I have had a personal demo on how to clean an atty at store here in illinois by a staff member.
This lady Vicky also shows the same procedure in this video
How I clean my eGo-t atty... or... Sunday morning at Vicky's kitchen sink - YouTube

Like to note its been my experience when your getting a burnt taste that the wick is not in far enough to much it floods the atty and leaks too little and the burnt taste from the coil comes into play.

Good luck.

Applying a drop or two to both ends of the wick (granted you use Vicky's cleaning method) does help prime the wick. Also, before screwing the atty to the battery, I cover the battery end with my thumb and suck a half dozen times to pull the eliquid through the tank to the atty. Then vape away. This has worked for me.

Remember science 101 from grade school? A liquid in a container with a single narrow opening must be displaced by air before it will come out of the container. It may also be called fluid lock.

This is a common problem with many ejuice cartridges, in that the juice won't even leak out unless some air can simultainiously seep into the airtight cartridge. You have to allow air to get into the cartridge for the juice to leak out and wet the atomizer.
The puncture nozzle will not let air in fast enough to even wet the wick material and that's why you get the smell of DRY overheated wick material when you start to vape. The problem will still re-occure during the vaping session and you must still occassionally repeat the force air into the cartridge.

If you're using just vegetable glycerine which is thicker than prop'gly , you will make even a bigger problem because it flows slower and is more likely to produce too lean a burn also, with all other things being equal. Mixing them together should help reduce the thicknes of just plain VG.

Eziest way , only way to get air into it is force it in, with 1,2 or 3 short hard bursts of air INTO the mouth piece while covering up the battery end of the atty or just putting your fingers over the vent slots if you already have the atty screwed onto the battery.
