Hi guys,

so I have a 120ml of nice juice a friend sold to me but I only have a gigantic
bottle for it, I need to clean up an old bottle of cigar flavored juice (really strong
scent and flavor) to transfer containers.

I was wondering how you guys would do this in order to completely erase the
other flavor..

I don't own an ultrasonic cleaner or any advanced tool like that.

Thanks alot :p

Yeah plastic bottles are really tough to get rid of a previous strong flavor , i have yet to find a way to completely remove all prior smells .

I have tried vinegar , baking soda with a long soak , dish soap etc.... I have not tried Vodka but if plastic i am not sure it's possible to neutralize it perfectly so you don't smell anything .

I have decent luck cleaning transparent clear plastic bottles by flushing with plain hot water, then soaking in water for a day, followed by several days of drying and airing out in the open. The several days of airing out is actually a moot point, since I have so many of those type of bottles in rotation. If they still carry strong aromas after that process, I toss 'em, but I toss very few. At any rate, I've yet to have any flavor transfer from bottles, even if they carried a little aroma.

The key is to store them in open air. I used to keep my cleaned bottles in ziplock bags, and when I opened the bag, a million little aromas would escape.

The milky white translucent plastic bottles seem more difficult to "de-aromaize" than the clear transparent ones, or maybe it's just me.
