I'm currently experiencing a dilemma . For a long time I have used the CE2's, really like them and still use them, but I've re-discovered the Boge's and really like them now as well. Think the earlier versions I purchased elsewhere weren't as good as what Stormy is offering now.
Cleaning the CE2's is not a problem..... I have that system down pat. But, when it comes to the Boge's, I'm getting frustrated. I get roughly a week or better before I feel they need to be "degunked" and that's when the trouble starts. I've been putting them in hot or boiling water for short periods and blowing them out between "baths" -- rinsing and repeating several times. Then let them either dry overnight or put them in the oven on a very low temp for a few minutes. Don't want to damage the seal between the pos and neg terminals. The filling is nice and white, but it is a mess after they get their bath. I have a terrible time finding the center tube to make sure it's clear and as I try to move the polyfill around, I make more of a mess.
Does some kind soul have any suggestions for me? I'm on the verge of a major carto shift if I can just figure out how to clean them properly and not have them looking like I took a hair teasing tool to the polyfill. I understand they are considered disposable and a week plus use is great, but being the cheap skate I am, I want to get as much mileage from them as possible.
I'm open to any tips or advice Boge users are willing to offer. Thanks so much in advance and I wish everyone a very pleasant Holiday Season..... horton -- out

The best method I have found to clean the Boge's is to buy one of those syringes from like Wal Mart that comes with a thing that is shaped like a white pyramid. I put my cartos in the big opening of the" pyramid" and put the syringe in the other end and I fill a glass with hot water. I then put the other end of the carto down in the water and pull up on the syringe and it pulls the water up in the syringe through the carto. After you do this push the water back down through the carto down the drain fast and it will flush it out. I do this about ten times. When I am finished I just blow as much water out of the carto that I can and let it sit for a couple of days to let it dry completely. I hope this helps. I've never had any luck with boiling carts either and have been frustrated myself trying to figure out a way to get them clean until I found this trick online.

Thanks for the help, JT. The way you explain makes great sense. A question I have is what end of the carto goes into the "pyramid", the mouth or battery end? I'm guessing the mouth end, but want to be sure. Most of the gunk I can see appears to be toward the battery end and I assume the coil is down that way as well. I'll check at WalMart for the syringe you mention. Did you find it in the pharmacy or that area where they sell diapers and baby food?
I appreciate your response.

No problem. They have them around the pharmacy by the children's medicine. I have flushed my cartos from both ends but it seems to work best putting the mouthpiece end into the pyramid thing. They fit kind of tight but they work great. Just be sure to kind of hold on to the cart with one hand while flushing or it will fly out when you flush it out. I hope this works out great for you.

Thanks again, JT...... I'll take a look there next time I go shopping, most likely tomorrow or Fri. I really want to get a good method down, and I like the way yours sounds. I'm a firm believer in the KISS concept and I think your method definitely fits in that category. Some of the methods I read about seemed to take so much time and too much fiddling.
I wonder if putting the end in hot water first might make it more pliable to help fit at first. May give that a try. And I will make sure to hold on to the carto..... all I need is projectiles flying around the kitchen.....lol. With my luck, it would go flying right through a window!!
I like aspects of both types of cartos, but am finding the Boge has a much smoother taste and not such a strong TH. I sometimes wonder if I'm the oddball not worrying about getting a strong throat hit. I just like a nice cool vape.
Really appreciate your help and I'll post my results soon as I get the supplies......horton -- out

This might be sort of digging up an old thread but just wanted to mention, I've been using a similar method to flush out our SmokTech eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartos after seeing something online somewhere that gave me the idea. I got a 10ml "Luer Lock" type syringe, a fairly small piece (3"-4" long) of surgical tubing that was a good fit to "screw into" the the Luer Lock, and then I took one of the round rubber tips that we got with the EMDCC's. The surgical tubing was kind of a tight fit going through the hole in the tip, and the tubing was even a little bit "pinched" at first - but there was a pretty decent "seal" between the tubing and the tip. And of course the tip itself makes a good seal with the carto.

After cleaning a couple cartos out this way, the tubing and rubber tip sorted themselves out and made an even better seal. Probably the running of near-boiling DW (distilled water) through them causing the materials to soften up a bit and form fit. This little rig cost me about $1.50 to slap together and it does a great job.

(I've also been running a couple rounds of high-test isopropyl through those cartos, after the water, then letting them sit to dry a few days after shaking and blowing out what I could of the alcohol - basically I consider them dry when I can't smell the isopropyl in them anymore and can't blow any out of the bottom either)

The reason I mentioned this here though... there are probably rubber drip tips for the 510 Boge cartos aren't there? If so, it should be possible to rig something up like this. (and I hope so because I'll be needing some 510 Boge cartos as soon as I get my ACTv4 haha)
