Hey guys,

I took of my rebuildable CE5 and took off the base, coil head, tube, and inhaler tip. I rinsed everything thoroughly with hot water, blew excess water from the base and tip. How long should I wait to slap a new coil head on?

Also, those who saw my last thread, that coil is BLACK. I'm gonna save it and try to maybe revive it, but I want to put on a new one since I have extras and want to continue vaping. :)

Thanks!

If you didnt soak the new head, just run a q-tip inside the pieces to make sure they are dry and put back together. Fillup with juice, give it some time to soak into the wicks(like 15minutes) maybe suck on it a few times without applying power, and vape on.

Make sure you tighten everything down snug!

If you soaked the new head, let that air dry until dry and then do above.

:)

You can clean your old head by dry burning it.

1) install old head in. Do not put in the rubber/silicon top and drip tip
2) screw onto device and set voltage at lowest level if you have a variable voltage device. Personally, I don't bother and dry burn at 3.7 volts. Lower voltage takes a longest time to heat up the coil and burn off the gunk.
3) fire device for about 5 seconds.
4) blow into tube to cool the coil and get rid of rising vapor. Again, this is optional.
5) repeat 3 and 4 until you see the coil turn red and the wicks become white again. Note that there may be some areas of the wick which may still be black. It is normal as silica is not a good conductor of heat and some parts of the wick just don't get hot enough to burn of the gunk.

6) IMPORTANT! Rinse the head in a bowl of water by tapping it against the bottom of the bowl. You'll see ashes in the bowl of water. Now you can either air dry it or dry burn again to get rid of the water.

All done! You can find you tube videos on dry burning. Just remember to RINSE RINSE RINSE at the end.

Next stop : recoiling ce5 heads
