I've decided that the nautilus I just bought just doesn't suit me, so I'm planning to sell it. I've used it for only a few hours, testing it out, but naturally when I sell it, I'd like it to be as close to a "like new" condition as possible, so I need to clean it well. I was planning on soaking the tank itself, minus bottom hardware and driptip, in a vinegar-water solution, to remove any lingering smells; my question is, can the bottom hardware be soaked this way, once I've removed the coil from it? I've never used the driptip that came with it, so it's still in new condition.

As for the coils... having been used so lightly, I had thought I would just hold them under running hot water for a few minutes, is that ok for these Nautilus coils? I do it all the time with my T3S coils, but they're quite different, of course.

Thx
Andria

Yes you can soak it all but recommend using Dawn dish washing liquid and warm water instead of vinegar. You can do the drip tip in vinegar though. The rinse it well in water followed by a Q tip in the base of the bottom where the head screws in and blow out the air holes good.

Hmm, I don't have any Dawn, I have Palmolive; why not vinegar? I use it for everything else, it gets odors out extremely well, and it's not nearly as hard to rinse out as detergent. I've never used the driptip at all, as I said, so I don't plan to soak it at all.

But why not vinegar/water?

If you dilute vinegar it should be fine though I don't like it on my attys as I find it sometimes leaves a taste. I have used Everclear, dish washing liquids and denture cleaning tables in water. You could even stick it in the dishwasher if you wished.

Well I wasn't going to put the attys in there! Just the tank and bottom hardware, and also that little cone thing, which I did use. I used about 1/3 vinegar, and 2/3 hot water; it's been soaking for a couple hours now, so after dinner I'll rinse it, and probably let it soak in plain water for an hour, then take out and dry off. I have a little box with silica-gel packets in it, that I use to dry my small pieces of all this junk -- small bottles, droppers, etc. I'll put the bottom-hardware piece in there overnight, shouild get it nice and dry in and out.

The coils, I was just going to hold under some hot running water for a while. That should remove any small amount of e-juice that may still be in the wicks.
