Cleaning and draining atomizers

I was reading through the Forum, and I came across a few discussions about cleaning the atomizers. I tried cleaning one once, and it ended up never working again. I read a discussion about "draining" the atomizers after use, in order to prolong longevity. I had an empty rack for 9mm rounds laying around, turned it upside down and the atomizers sit upright with plenty of breathing room to drain. I thought it worked perfect and I thought I would share the innovation with you all.

I'm kind of a dork I know.

I just give mine a dry burn once every few days and thats it.

I dont ever drain mine or try to clean them in liquid any more..

I just found it didnt work for me.. IMO

Sounds like a great way to drain 'em! I've gotten to where I just blow the liquid out and wipe the connections when I change attys / flavors (about 3-4 times a day). Some of the veterens advise only trying to "clean" an atty in dire circumstances... it's already dying... really bad, lingering taste.
