ok, so I started by just rinsing my stuff out, which worked ok for protank II and bcc mega style stuff at first, but even those can get a taste of the previous flavor after washing.

Next step I started just putting all the dirty tanks in a bin, and last weekend I figured I'd boil it all to really get it clean. It worked great, all types of devices got super clean and no trace (color or taste) from previous juice..

PROBLEM, I killed a bunch of parts......

all the i16 style clearmorizers are toast, tips and tank done... saving the bases since they're fine.

my viva style tanks and bcc mega's are foggy now, doesn't seem to have warped the tank, but looks like hell.

my rda's/rba's where fine, they're all steel.

Is there a better way to clean the clear's and plastic tanks drip tips and sterilize them

anyone know anything about ultrasonic cleaners or other sterilization products?

TIA,

I don't know why you would want to boil or sterilize your own gear unless you've had the bubonic plague go through your houseold or scared of your own cooties. I just soak my tanks ect in hot tap water and let dry, I just use isoprop to clean the juice film off all metal parts but not the orings since I read that alcohol breaks down the plastic/silicone. I guess I'm not that perticular to having a old flavor linger and if the old flavor gets in the way I just remove and replace the wicking and its good as new.
For cleaning carto's:
I found the 60 mil syringe with a pointy end fits a driptip very well and cleaned carto's. Just put the tip on the syringe, stick on the carto and slowly push clean hot water through. It worked like a hot damn so take a driptip with you when syringe shopping. You can't push the water through to fast or you'll distort the packing and coil inside the carto. You can also put a carto on a ego battery and wiggle the tube off to expose the guts, unwrap it, clean the packing, realign the coil and dryburn it. You push a long pin through the middle and the coil, out the bottom to make putting it back together much easier.
