I thought Snow was referring to the sonic cleaner rather than vodka, idk. I would think using a sonic cleaner which would vibrate all the gunk loose, which would be cool, but I think I'd still want to boil it afterward bc it would seem like it would all get trapped in the matting material. But ya know, I never used or saw a sonic cleaner. For now I'll just keep cleaning at a medium boil for 20 min as it's been working very well for me so far. I'd like to get me a centrifuge though, spinning a bunch of carts is hard on the hands (for me, bc of DPU).

Wow... I am sorry if I read this wrong but it seems kinda mean spirited. I apologize if the question bothered you enough to post the equivalent of "well if your that stupid go ahead and let me know if it kills you".

I don't know if I just don't get it sometimes and whether it's sarcasm in jest or your really fed up with questions.

Thanks for all your past help. I will try in the future not to post stupid questions.

Your apology is accepted because my reply wasn't mean spirited in any fashion. No need to apologize about the question because it didn't bother me in the least. I never mentioned or inferred the words stupid or kill anywhere in my reply. Actually it wasn't sarcasm because I don't know whether or not vaping Cartomizers that have been soak in vodka and dried then filled with e-liquid is dangerous to a person's health or not, do you?

So indeed I am curious and if it causes you to have an adverse reaction I would like to know about it. Personally I wouldn't do it, because I don't know, but I certainly would not go as far as to recommend you not doing it.

As for my past help, you must be referring to me sending you out a replacement Ash Cap and answering any or all of your questions, is that correct? How you classify your own questions or posts has nothing to do with me. I have never stated or inferred directly or indirectly that your questions were stupid or not stupid, if I have, please direct me to such a statement or inference.

I would be glad to offer you a sincere apology, however until I know exactly what I am apologizing for it would be anything but sincere. I am somewhat saddened given our more than amicable history and my absence of malintent that you interpreted my 2 sentence response as anything other that what it was. That being said, I will happily remove it.

Whatever works for you is what you should do .I think the idea of cleaning with a cleaner itself that you are going to later inhale is super scary tho( i think thats what snow meant about NOT rinsing everything out with water )...Personally ,i order the prefilleds ,then fill em up a few times and dump em .Its about .30 cents a cart that way if a bottle of juice fills 30 carts no ?
Thats just me ...
I refill with a similiar or same flavor ( ie fruit with fruit ,menthol with menthol ) then i always have prefilleds for when time is short .

No need to remove anything Snow. Like many here I am having a rough week that had really gotten to me, and that is not a reasonable excuse for me to read into anything in a response when usually I know better than to do that.

You are correct on the ash cap, and and other questions. I am grateful. Thank you.

I asked this in another thread, but never got an answer. Maybe you guys can help me:
Does it have to be the good kind of ultrasonic cleaner (42,000 waves per second), or can it be the cheapo ones from eBay (5800 waves)? i.e, do you really need the smaller, more populous bubbles of the 42K kind to do an effective job at cleaning cartos? Do the bubbles have to be that small and populous to get in there through the batting? (sorry, just clarifying my question)
Thanks!

cindycated, I read the thread linked below and picked up a 42,000 unit since that's what was recommended. I've tried it a few times, but IMHO the basic "turkey baster" method gets the carto's cleaner...but it is hard on old arthritic hands! The thread below talks about atomizers, but there's good info in there for carto cleaning, too.
Also, I think there's other ultrasonic cleaning threads in the "tips and tricks" section of the general forum...
But Snow's turkey baster method still works best to me

Now if it were me....I'd buy the $2.00 baster. Then, with the money I saved I'd grab a cab and go to North Beach. I'd order an extra large all meat with extra garlic at North Beach Pizza along with 2 pitchers of Anchor Steam. After stuffing my face, I'd stroll across Grant Street to the Savoy Tivoli and spend the rest of the night downing Kamikazes and shooting pool.

But hey......that's just me!
