ya, but it's not really necessary.

Just use hot water. Here's the Magic tip.... get one of those foam/rubber grips for a pen/pencil (either buy them seperatly, or take one off of a pen you already have), and a turkey baster.

Shove one end on the turkey baster, and the other end is the perfect size for a carto.

This alows you to "power wash" your cartos with hot water. Works AMAZING for me. I've been doing it to switch juices and have not had any residual flavor left over.

EDIT.. to dry, use the baster to "blow dry" if you don't want to blow yourself (gets old if you've got like 20 or so cartos to do). Then reverse tarin spin. set over night, and you're good to go.

There is only caramel color in coke, not actual caramel. I did hear that it does clean out a gummed up carto though.

Seems like the caramel would make them gummed-up. I have seen a penny turned shiny with the acids in Coke tho. It could be viable, but it would take a helluva rinsing to get the stickiness out. I wouldn't want to vape any residue. My $.02

I agree with popeye, this is the easy method, then blow out and let set for a day or day and a half, then refill and enjoy. I have tried coke, vinegar, alky , hydrogen Peroxide and denture cleaner on a gunked up atty that I could clearly see the coil and none of them would disolve the gunk. Neither will water, but water will clean the carto stuffing very well, so it helps a bunch.

^ Do you do anything to get the water to dry out quickly? I've read that mold/mildew can form by just letting them air dry, and you do not want to be inhaling mold or mildew.

Regarding my turkey baster method... it can be used to blow dry as well. They're pretty dry after that. But I just let sit over night and they're good to go (though mine are relitivly close to a large dehumidifier in the basement).

I have heard of people putting them in the oven, but haven't tried it, nor do I think it's necessary.

Awesome tip popeye! Thanks!

You're welcome! Though I can not in good conscience take credit.. I saw someone on youtube do it.

I don't want to get in the habit of cleaning cartos either but my vendor (won't mention any names) LOL is always out of blanks.

Steam cleaners work nicely, too. I picked up a cheap one on Amazon a LOOOOOONG time ago, and while I've never been in the habit of cleaning cartos, I experimented with it a bit, and it did a great job and the cartos hardly needed drying after because the steam evaporates away.

I'm sorry, I forgot to mention that I reverse tarin spin to get all of the water out, after blowing with turkey baster. Spin is very improtant if you want to get all the water out... spin the ever loving crap out of it, and you could probably fill right away. But I'd still let sit over night.

Good idea, I hadn't thought of that but it makes perfect sense.
