Aloha guys I know I read this somewhere and I know atomizers are disposable but you can do things to prolong their use.
I've had my Davide Mini for a week but for a few days it's been a tasting burnt and I chalked it up to my sucking too hard because I totally can't taste the juice.
Anyway...I came home with a regular sized Davide and bought more atomizers to go with it and the Davide Mini. And more juice (Red Bull).
The vendor said the atomizers can last 4-7 days, even a week, if you're not a crazy vaper. Well, I'm a crazy vaper. I love the itastevv3 I keep it at 3.8 and it automatically knows what units are on it and adjusts the ohms.

I have the old Davide atomizer in some fake coke for a few hours. Once I rinse it and dry it and maybe replace the o-rings (cos I forgot to remove them) will it be good to go?
And once I've burned it out (again) do I just toss it?

FWIW, the Davide Mini with the atomizer in it vape like a champ and I'm very happy with it.

Sorry for the novel,
Have a great night and Aloha,
Stacey

Hi Stacey,

Your thread's title says "Cleaning Cartos" but I'm 99% sure that the Davide mini is a clearo. There is a difference.

I prefer to use the watts setting on my vv 3 instead of the volts. I have found that some small size (less than 2ml) top coil clearos give a burnt taste above 7.5w. Yet a 3ml or 3.5ml top coil or 1.8ml bottom coil clearo can go up to 9.5w - and they actually seem to need it for me to get a decent taste and vapor (though airflow plays a part too). I'm still learning so take what I've said with a grain a salt - not literally :?:

I bought ten CE4 clearos because they were cheap and I wanted a bunch of cheap clearos for tasting sample flavors. But I suspect these CE4s are not genuine, and from day 1 they tasted absolutely horrible (like glue maybe). They were far worse then just a burnt taste. I pulled them apart and soaked them in 190 proof alcohol overnight then rinsed them in water but they still tasted horrible. So I pulled them apart again and boiled them for 5 minutes, let them cool down and rinsed them, then boiled them again. While re-assembling them I noticed a few things:

- Some of the coils are black, others are dark coloured while the rest are shiny silvery/gold colour.
- Some of the coils are squashed together.
- Some of the coils are offset all the way to one side.

Out of the 10 coils I found 1 good coil and 2 more that looked usable. But next I discovered that the glue that holds the metal top and bottom pieces onto the plastic body had been dissolved by the boiling. Strangely the Dymo labels that I stuck on some of them were still stuck on really well. Moral to the story is Dymo labels use better glue than cheap CE4 clones.

By the way, all of the o-rings and rubber center tube caps survived my cleaning processes, as did the plastic drip tips and plastic tanks.
