Cleaning out Cartridges

What's the best way to clean out a cartridge. I got the prefilled ones from Jet, and have been able to put some of my own Menthol juice in there, however I have new juice coming that I don't want mix with menthol. How can I clean a couple out before I can afford a new setup?

Get a turkey baster (bulb style) and pull off the bulb then put the carto inside thread side down. Then replace the bulb. Then start drawing boiling water into the baster and when you squirt it back out it will run threw the carto cleaning it. Then keep squirting air threw to get excess water out at the end. Then I bake my cartos in the oven at 275 for about an hour. Take em out of the oven and let them sit overnight. If this doesn't get em clean and dry nothing will. Good luck

I've always soaked mine in ever clear and then flushed them with hot water and allowed them to dry for a day or two

love love love the baster idea!!! I find that 2 15 minute boils doesn't get them completely clean. I don't dry them out past blowing and spinning them dry, when no more water comes out I fill and enjoy Haven't had a problem with that.

Are you asking about cartridges or cartomizers? (2 piece or 3 piece e-cig)
For a cartridge just pull the small piece of foam out and rince it in hot water. With a cartomizer ......... sorry but menthol is one of the flavors that you will never get completly out of them, even with the boil 5 times method.

Just boiling them in a pot is like rinsing your hair with your bath water. That's why the baster to run only clean water threw each time. I have never used menthol but all of the carto's I have cleaned this way worked great after with no taste left over.

I do the same, Everclear soak and rinse with a dropper, then dropped into boiling water for about 5 minutes, then blow them out and let dry.

But Sweetspot if you are talking cartridge vs a cartomizer, just rinse them out with warm water. You can remove the foam, rinse in warm water and reinsert it also. Ensure you blot it dry with a paper towel or something first. Hope that helps

I have cartridges and I used the rinse out method, though I didn't take the foam out, just blew through it to get the water out and it worked just fine. Thank you so much.
